Catastrophe Insurance Adjuster Training Program

Adjusters
The storm season is upon us, and USCAT, in affiliation with All American Insurance Training, has constructed a week long course to ensure you will be prepared when called upon this year.

This preparation course is not simply a brush up course, but an in depth review of proper adjusting of a claim, as well as a full day of flood adjusting. The class also provides the Certification for Florida Citizens, which all adjusters will be required to complete before being allowed to work for Florida Citizens.

The seminar will provide the following for adjusters:
1. 3 days of intensive basic Adjusting 101
2. 1 day of Certification for Florida Citizens
3. 1 day of Flood 201

Adjusting 101

1. Complete review of licensing laws
2. Review of all dwelling policies that a catastrophe adjuster must know
3. Complete review of measurements for eaves, interior walls, ceilings, exterior walls, soffit, fascia, types of roofing materials and roof framing
4. Depreciation amounts and when it should be applied
5. 30 C.E. Credits for Texas License

Florida Citizens

1. Certification for 2010
2. Certification is mandatory to be able to work for Florida Citizens

Flood 201

1. Information for the dwelling and mobile home only
2. Complete review of the Dwelling Form
3. Complete review of the coverages and exclusions
4. Exhaustive review of the flood forms and how to fill them out
5. A review of the flood narrative and how to write an acceptable "captioned" report
6. Hands on how to do it flood course.
7. This is a first of its kind flood preparatory course. There are thousands of certified flood adjusters, but a small few who have actually handled a flood claim. We will teach you how to complete the reports, interpret the policy and handle the loss. MUST SEE COURSE No one will be assigned a flood claim from our clients without this training.

Pre-Licensing Class (40 hrs.) - This Course meets all of the requirements for Texas licensing, which are:

1) 40 Hours of required classroom instruction.
2) Requirements of the State Board of Trustees.
3) In depth review of the SPSCA and how it relates to the insurance adjuster.
4) In depth review of the DTP and how it relates to the adjuster.
5) Complete estimate study of all dwelling policies with review of: Commercial, Auto, Property and Casualty.

Upon completion of the course Attendees/Students will be awarded a completion of training certificate with their earned course hours. Those who complete this course will be eligible to receive a state license by sending the fees to the state with the required accounting and required information.


Ethics in Insurance Adjusting - The insurance carrier wants the insured to be indemnified and have Good Faith Practices, this class goes into deep discussions on Ethics and there are many right and wrong answers when discussing Ethics, this class will be very fun and will make you stop and think about how different situations are fair or unfair. This class helps the adjuster to gain understanding on what is required by the Adjuster, Insurance Carrier, The Insured and having good faith when dealing with all of them.
